Health and Safety regulations are extensive and complex. Many employers are unsure of their position within the law and employees often feel inadequately trained to deal with their health and safety responsibilities. EMS can offer companies a wide range of health and safety services. Staff training ensures staff are capable to perform everyday duties safely. Thousands of injuries result every year from untrained staff working at heights and poor manual handling skills. EMS provides on-site courses to certify staff are using the correct methods for the work they undertake, including fire safety, manual handling, working at heights and risk assessments. The disability discrimination act (DDA) was introduced in October 2004. Companies have a duty to assess their units and ascertain disabled people are not inadvertently discriminated against due to poor access and facility provision. We offer a full consultancy service from surveying buildings to reporting and making cost effective recommendations for improvements. EMS have a long history in the construction industry and have an extensive knowledge of CDM. This allows us to undertake site audits, offer consulting or act as planning supervisor. |
