Asbestos Awareness Training
The control of asbestos regulations (2006) puts an explicit 'duty to manage' on any duty holder of a non-domestic premises. The duty holder is anyone with a responsibility for maintenance within that building (could be the owner, occupier or facilities management company).
This duty is often mistaken as the need to undertake a survey; the survey is only the first stage.
EMS offers a spectrum of 'Asbestos awareness' courses. These courses can range to management level to aid understanding of legislation and practical courses for employees who may come into contact with asbestos every day.
A specifically tailored course to discuss with a maintenance team and asbestos containing materials located within a particular property can also be provided, including introducing and implementing your own Asbestos Management Plan (AMP)
