Asbestos Management Plans

To help reduce the incident of disease the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) were introduced in 1987. These regulations amended amended (2002) to compel every non-domestic property to produce an Asbestos Management Plan (AMP). Duty holders have a legal requirement to locate the presence of asbestos, assess the condition and manage the material. The revised Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 reinforces the previous responsibilities on employers to manage asbestos within their premises.

If refurbishment or demolition works are planned on site, further responsibilities must be fulfilled.

EMS have a team of qualified consultants to either work with you to produce a plan, produce a plan for you to implement or to take responsibility for your asbestos in your building carrying out re-inspection and monitoring as required.
