Groundwater

Groundwater monitoring may be required as part of site redevelopment proposals and risk assessment, to satisfy the regulatory authorities, as part of emergency spill response or for general water quality assessment.

EMS undertakes clean and sealed drilling techniques for installation of monitoring wells to ensure contamination is not transferred during well construction. From monitoring wells EMS can:

• Calculate direction of groundwater flow
• Assess the level and extent of contamination
• Undertake regular monitoring over both long and short time periods

We regularly liaise with the relevant organizations to ensure both the client and authority requirements are met during investigation.
